MY STORY
The Start Line...
I chose to study journalism because I knew it would open me up to a multitude of potential career pathwayswhen entering the industry. I knew that I loved to write, and it was something I succeeded in at school/university, but I am yet to discover in what capacity of writing my passion lays. So far I know that I love writing about people and the communities they live in (an anthropological focus/documentaries), I get satisfaction from turning research and details into articulate, digestable and beautifully curated content, and I love all things lifestyle and social media related.
I am very aware however that I am yet to dive below the surface of what journalism looks like in our current and changing media climate. As well as what sub-genres of modern journalism are available that I might find excitement in. I am also aware that experience is the only way to discover my passions and skill set. This is why I am eager to begin my career, to dive into the un-known and discover myself, and my goals. Alongside learning the ins and outs of the industry, strengthening my portfolio and skill set, and expanding my contacts.

The Future...
In five years time I see myself settled into a vibrant career, surrounded by people that are passionate about their work and pushing to achieve their career goals. I want to be in a work environment that fosters individual personality, work-life balance and team unity. I thrive off being busy, having routine and being surrounded by people. I want to produce content that inspires others and leaves an imprint on my audience. I want to be proud of my work and what my business achieves. I am happy to relocate for career opportunities and hope to see the world through these opportunities.
